Thank God I’m A Country Boy!

That John Denver was more than just Annie’s Song, Calypso, Country Roads and Leaving on a Jet Plane is something Jimmy Duchateau proves in this new theatre concert. No costumes – well, maybe a western shirt – but with a suitcase full of anecdotes, his beautiful voice, his guitar, and a fantastic band, he pays tribute to his great hero. If Duchateau wants to show anything, it’s that the American country legend was far more than just his most famous hits. Of course, the classics are all there, but there’s also plenty of attention for lesser-known gems. All of it is performed faithfully to the handwritten scores he received from John Denver’s longtime arranger, Lee Holdridge.
